Bow Down

The humble do not lift up self.

This has been crucified.

The life of Christ lives in them.

In his words they will abide.

The humble are repentant.

What’s not faith is sin.

The Holy Spirit leads them

And cleanses all within.

The humble are drawn near.

God resists the proud.

God gives the humble grace.

Their petitions are allowed.

The humble are not ambitious.

They live to give God glory.

They seek God’s kingdom first.

They share the gospel story.

He gives more grace. Therefore He says: “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.” Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.
