God Will Fight

How can we who are dead to sin

Live any longer in there ?

We who dwell in Christ are kept

Fully in his care.

Christ has overcome for us

All evil, sin, and death.

God confirmed this victory

When he returned to Christ his breath.

Those who trust in Jesus

Go to God in prayer.

They overcome the enemy

By the word and the blood they share.

Those who think that prayer is just some foolish idle prattle

Will find an answer soon enough

For God will fight the battle.

Christ will gather from the nations

Every precious gem.

God's children are worthy of heaven.

The fire has tested them.

“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.”
