I Live

I am prepared to be a martyr

As my brethren were long ago

But I leave that to my Savior.

The path ahead I do not know.

Surely suffering is permitted.

My body’s death I can’t deny.

The possession of my soul and spirit

Is with Christ who can not die.

I am crucified with Jesus.

All I am to him I give.

I renounce this sinful world.

In Jesus Christ I live.

“Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it.”
