WATER

As a soul thirsts in the desert

As the ground without the rain

So the heart lies hard and smitten

From sin’s awful guilt and pain.

Must they wait to be forgiven?

Must their soul within them faint?

O dear Jesus, you have given

Life abundant without restraint.

Your mercy has no limit.

Your love does still abound.

There’s a fountain ever flowing.

It’s by faith that it is found.

Come dear soul now to the water.

Satisfy your thirst today.

Come to Jesus he is waiting.

Come to him without delay.
